This is a walking tour. We will begin at the Parnell monument on O'Connell Street, visit the Book of Kells housed at Trinity College, and make our way to Grafton Street for a coffee at the famous Bewleys's Oriental Café. Afterwards we will visit Dublin Castle (the seat of British Rule until 1922) and the Chester Beatty Library (Ireland's greatest museum according to Lonely Planet), after relishing in the many historic manuscripts and priceless artefacts we will visit Dublin's Medieval Quarter, Christchurch and its cathedral. You tour leader will entertain you with stories about Ireland's history and struggle for independence, indicating important points of reference along the way. This tour lasts approximately 3 hours and gives a great introduction to the city.
Tom, one of our Angel Tours guides in Dublin - and general handyman to have around, which even if we didn't know him, we'd 100% absolutely recommend this app if you are visiting Ireland.
Our tours meet right in the centre of Dublin and almost all Dubliners know this spot. It's on Dame Street, beside Dublin Castle. It's called Town Hall Square and you will easily find it, ask a cop, the street dog anyone will know it.
Then you will see us with the yellow Angel umbrella and even if tis raining we will have a sign up with your name, or our name, on it. We include some pics of the area in a nice day but it does look a lot different in typical Irish mist.
